Elettra Aurora Pomponio was born on 27/02/1995 in Turin (Italy), at the age of four she began studying piano following the courses activated at the Suzuki school in Turin with the teacher Silvia Faregna. Enter the “G. Verdi ” Conservatory of Turin at the age of nine, where she graduated with honors with the Professor Bruno Bosio, and achieved the two-year period with specialization in chamber music with top marks and honors in 2017.
She has participated in numerous musical initiatives of the Suzuki School and in several national and international competitions.
In Bologna at the Marco Fortini Competition in 2003 and 2005 respectively achieving the 3rd and 2nd prize. In 2004 she took part in the XVI National Competition for young pianists “Terzo Musica-Valle Bormida”, winning the 2nd prize. In Turin the IV and the V Regional Competition of Musical Execution “Young Interpreters” in 2004 and 2005 respectively achieving the 2nd and the 1st absolute prize. In Pontinvrea she participated twice in 2008 and in 2010 at the 2nd Piano Review Cav. Davide Vignolo “achieving the first prize. In Reggio Emilia in 2008 he participated in the National Competition “Giorgio and Aurora Giovannini” obtaining the 2nd overall prize.
She took part in a masterclass in 2010 with Maestro Benedetto Lupo and Maestro Enrico Pace, in 2015 with Maestro Fabio Bidini, and in 2016 with Maestro Andrea Lucchesini and Maestro Joaquin Achucarro. In 2017 with Lucille Chung and Alessio Bax.
During her studies she participated in numerous concerts in the Conservatory, as happens on 6 March at an evening organized for the UGI, and in December 2015 on the occasion of an evening dedicated to the best graduates of that year. Since 2011 she plays in a duo with the flutist Giacomo Federico Pomponio with whom she played in 2015 at an evening for the Lions Club of Turin.
In 2017 she plays with the orchestra of the “G. Verdi “at the prestigious” Lingotto “hall in Turin and at the inauguration of the” Perosi festival “in Tortona.
She studied at the Pinerolo Music Academy with Maestro Pietro De Maria for two years.
In 2016 she won a scholarship by participating in the “Talenti Musicali” competition organized by the CRT Foundation.
Thanks to a scholarship received both by the University and by the Joacquin Achucarro Foundation she earned her Perfomance Diploma at the Southern Methodist University in Dallas where she studies with Professor Achucarro. She is currently ending her Master Degree in the same university with Professor Achucarro.
She has been working at the Meadows School of the Arts as pianist accompanist for the past four years and she has been teaching at the Zhen Music and Art Institute in Dallas since 2018.
