Dear friends, LE SALON DE LA MUSIQUE was born to support talented young artists. In fact, today, more than ever, in this difficult moment all our and your support is needed! Because of COVID-19 many MUSICIANS CAN NOT work in concert halls and THEREFORE an important and in most cases THE ONLY SOURCE OF INCOME IS TAKEN away from them.

If EACH OF US makes a SMALL CONTRIBUTION, we can easily reach our goal! EVERY SUNDAY we will present some of our veryTALENTED ARTISTS who will PLAY for you FROM THEIR HOUSES to share their love for music with you.

In order to watch the video of the concert, you can MAKE A SMALL DONATION directly to the artist ( ANY AMOUNT will be greatly appreciated) and you will be added to a PRIVATE GROUP dedicated to each artist where the video will be broadcasted. The fifth of our artists will be Anna Bulkina, who will play on SUNDAY, 17th of May.

Anna Bulkina is a young Russian pianist who is appreciated both by public and by critics.

Her first success was winning the Chopin International Piano Competition for Young Pianist in Szafarnia, Poland, at the age of 12. Thereafter, she presented recitals around the country.

She was awarded the second prize in the China International Piano Competition (Xiamen), captured the first prize in the Concours International de Piano Virtuoses du future in Switzerland, and then went on to win the second prize in the Busoni International Piano Competition.

It was her triumph at the Busoni that has rapidly garnered her international recognition as a concert pianist of significant stature. In the United States, Anna Bulkina’s accolades have included the Grand National Winner of the 2009 MTNA Young Artist Piano Competition where she received a Steinway Grand Piano, First Prize in the 2009 Wideman International Piano Competition in Louisiana, and another First Prize in the 50th Annual Sorantin International Competition in Texas.

As a top prizewinner of the Busoni Competition, Anna Bulkina was offered the special privilege to play in a series of three master classes given by Alfred Brendel. The first of which took place at the Ruhr Klavier Festival in Germany. The second was during the Bolzano International Festival, Italy, followed by the third master class held in the newly built Harpa Concert Hall in Iceland. In between the master classes Anna also performed solo recitals in all three countries.

She was playing with the Fort Worth Symphony, Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento, Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León, State Philharmonic Orchestra from Bacau, St.Petersburg State Academic Symphony Orchestra, Northwest Florida Symphony, San Angelo Symphony, China National Symphony Orchestra, Wuhan Symphony Orchestra among others.

Besides solo performances and collaboration with various symphony orchestras, Anna is a keen chamber player, among her partners there are Saõ Paulo String Quartet (Saõ Paulo, Brazil), “Orion” String Quartet (Salzburg, Austria), The West Edge String Quartet ( Shreveport, USA).

Anna had a privilege to work with Alfred Brendel, Leon Fleisher, Miguel Harth-Bedoya, Paul Badura-Scoda and participate in Ruhr Klavier Festival, International Piano Festival Ferruccio Busoni, Piano Texas Academy, Festival, Musica Nova Festival etc.

After graduated from the Sergei Rachmaninoff Conservatory under Professor Rimma Skorokhodova in 2008, she came to the United States to continue her study at the Texas Christian University on the Lili Kraus Scholarship with Dr. Tamas Ungar. In 2013 Anna graduated from her Master Degree at TCU. She is a current DMA student at UNT College of Music under the guidance of Dr. Pamela Paul. Additionally she studied with Boris Petrushansky at the acclaimed Imola Piano Academy “ Incontri col Maestro” in Italy.
